The Walt Disney Company Analyst-Revenue Mgmt & Analytics in Anaheim, California

About the Role & Team

The RM&A organization is part of the Commercial Strategy team that supports clients across Disney Parks, Experiences & Consumer Products including Ticketing, Resorts, Merchandise and Food & Beverage in the core proficiencies of yield management, revenue planning, pricing, promotions, and optimization using mathematical and statistical techniques.

Candidates will have strong communication, partnering, demonstrated advanced mathematical, computational, analytical, quantitative, and statistical knowledge & skills.

Candidates should have a natural curiosity to understand the “why” behind business performance, take a proactive role in problem-solving, be results oriented, be able to prioritize and be a teammate in a collaborative environment.

This position will report to a Manager-Pricing.

What You Will Do

  • Predictive Analysis: Leverage mathematical, statistical techniques, using near real-time and historical data to develop predictive demand and revenue models and find continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Data Visualization: Present complex analytical findings in clear business terms to facilitate acceptance and execution by business partners and senior executives.

  • Business Goal Achievement: Measure pricing decisions' success, identify strategic opportunities based on science-based insights, and collaborate on leading and driving annual and promotional pricing decisions.

  • Partner Collaboration: Maintain relationships with Marketing, Research, Legal, and Forecasting/Revenue Management to communicate performance, understand new initiatives, and identify strategic opportunities' impacts.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Data Analytics/Science or Industrial Engineering.

  • Minimum 0-3 years of work experience in statistical, business analysis, and/or strategy development.

  • Proficiency in data handling and manipulation (SQL), advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including VBA), data visualizations (Tableau), programming in Python or R, machine learning algorithms such as regression, clustering and neural networks

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to shift between technical and non-technical terminology depending on audience.

  • Problem-solving, critical, and creative thinking, and partnering skills.

  • Ability to meet deadlines, balance multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision.

  • Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results and understanding the business impact.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, Economics, Behavioral economics or Data Science.

  • 3+ years of work experience in statistical, business analysis, and/or strategy development.

  • Prior experience with pricing, revenue management, and/or forecasting.

  • Understanding of revenue management concepts (e.g., dilution, displacement).

  • Proven knowledge of Disney Theme Parks & Resorts.

  • Project management skills with a track record of delivering timely projects.

The hiring range for this position in California is $84,600.00-$103,400.00 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
