The Walt Disney Company Fire Chief in Anaheim, California

Overview:

The Fire Chief provides a safe and secure environment for Guests and Cast Members. They provide overall management and leadership for all Fire Department functions and provide support to all Disneyland Resort partners regarding fire protection issues.

You will report to the Director, Disneyland Security & Emergency Services Operations.

Responsibilities/You Will:

  • Foster a positive work environment for all Cast Members and resolve challenging Guest and Cast situations in a positive manner

  • Lead all aspects associated with Fire Department daily operations

  • Partner with other lines of business as needed to ensure that all facets of fire protection are in the highest possible state of readiness

  • Act as subject matter expert on all aspects of fire service including emergency operations and fire prevention

  • Supervise budgets and expenditures to remain within expectations and make recommendations for future budget needs

  • Monitor staffing levels, influence future needs, and own the department's hiring process

  • Collect, analyze, process, and present data relevant to the operation of the business segment

  • Respond to, assess, and mitigate emergency situations quickly

  • Liaison to responding outside agencies and the internal Unified Incident Command Team

  • Lead the Disneyland Resort Emergency Management Team, including plan development, exercise design, and Emergency Operations Center activations

  • Lead Guest Health Services ensuring levels of patient care and consistency with industry standards

Basic Qualifications/You Will Have:

  • Knowledge of state and local fire codes safety requirements

  • Knowledge of interviewing and hiring practices

  • Vast knowledge of firefighting methods and preventative safety

  • Written and verbal communication proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of fire services experience

  • 5+ years of management experience

  • Leadership experience in an Emergency Operations Center environment

  • Emergency preparedness experience in areas of plan development and exercise design

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related business or equivalent work experience
