We have an exciting opportunity for a Music Publishing Coordinator (PH) to join the team in Burbank, CA!

Publishing Administration obtains mechanical and synchronization licenses for all Disney Music Group’s domestic physical and digital albums, singles, mobile tones and digital videos, and all promotional efforts related thereto. We also issue licenses to third party labels for the use of Disney Music Publishing compositions on these same types of commercial exploitations and manage the dispute and appeals queues in our DMP YouTube CMS.

Under the direction of the department Director, the Coordinator will support the team with securing mechanical licenses, researching publishing ownerships and, maintaining and updating data in our systems.

Responsibilities :

  • Secure mechanical licenses for assigned backlog release projects;

  • Update status reports as directed by Director;

  • Ensure Dnote contains current publishing information for all assigned projects, including internal song codes from CounterPoint

  • Research publishing ownership and update the publishing system on an ongoing basis.

Basic Qualifications :

  • 2 years experience in music publishing or copyright licensing required

  • Proficiency with Word and Excel

  • Knowledge of Harry Fox eMechanical licensing system and CounterPoint a plus

  • Energetic, efficient and resourceful with excellent time-management skills

  • Attention to detail; accuracy is critical

  • Excellent interpersonal and written skills

  • Strong work ethic

Preferred Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
