Content Operations is ultimately responsible for successfully delivering entertainment and sports content to millions of people every day. This involves developing, operating, and leading a global content supply chain – the myriad of steps involved from taking a finalized TV show/movie, or live piece of content, from inside Disney to audiences around the globe, in their preferred language and format. This team also leads technology operations in Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

The Quality Management Associate supports the Total Quality Management (TQM) team in coordinating internal Distribution Operation teams to uphold quality standards. The position will lead projects to enhance processes, document workflows, and vendor scorecard distribution and metrics. Additionally, they ensure operational compliance, conduct root cause analyses, resolve interdependency conflicts, and provide reporting on the direct-to-consumer digital media distribution supply chain, fostering efficiency and adherence to quality protocols.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and provide summaries of projects, milestones, and meeting notes.

  • Management of the vendor scorecard process, including consolidation and distribution of strategic vendor partners’ scorecards.

  • Assist to develop and validate processes to gather performance metrics, continuously improve reporting techniques to create standard methodologies and vocabulary for efficient data consolidation.

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure compliance to ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standard: including scheduling, assessing risk mitigation plans, and tracking remediation items.

  • Create and update documentation, policies, and procedures for newly implemented or revised operational workflows.

  • Support process improvements and issues resolution using data analytics reporting and task assignment tracking.

  • Use available resources to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with the team and related business units

  • Provide professional reports and presentations to management and business partners as requested.

  • Any ad-hoc project and other duties needed to help achieve Business Objectives

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in a technical operations role

  • Project management experience 1 - 2 years

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, integrated team environment with frequently changing priorities.

  • Experience working on team or other collaborative groups.

  • Excellent communication abilities and skill in engaging with individuals with all levels of the organization.

  • Understanding of video, audio, timed text formats and workflows

  • Advanced understanding of spreadsheet reporting

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject or the equivalent in a working environment (Engineering, Media Production, IT, Computer Science)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Digital media distribution, asset management, or post-production experience preferred, but other quality management experience in manufacturing or service industries may apply.

  • Understanding of Six Sigma methodologies, ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 principles.

  • Experience with Agile and Scrum project management methodologies.

  • Data analysis and visualization experience to create engaging and insightful reports for collaborators.

  • Use data aggregation and manipulation tools like Power BI, or DOMO for effective data management.

The hiring range for this position in California is $63,400 to $85,000 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
