The Department

Animation Finance drives financial planning, reporting analytics and executive decision-support for the Walt Disney Animation Studios. We are building a world-class team and looking for a talented individual to help support our dynamic and esteemed business.

The Role

Reporting to the Manager of Finance & Planning, the Senior Analyst will lead the collection, summarization, and interpretation of financial data for Finance and Studio Executives. They will support the Finance Organization through participation in broader studio-level strategic scenario planning and decision-making; development and administration of our financial data repository; and partnering with department managers on ad-hoc analytics and reporting automation projects.

Responsibilities :

  • Support in developing and maintaining financial models for determining total studio and feature film spend for management and corporate reporting

  • Act as an internal consultant to the finance and overhead departments, solving reporting automation and accessibility problems

  • Design and deliver financial reports, dashboards and presentations for review with finance and executive leadership

  • Assist in identifying key performance indicators and business drivers to support strategic initiatives and identify irregularities, risks and opportunities

  • Administrate and audit our financial data repository for accuracy and compliance with Studio financial/accounting policies; and ensure that proper financial controls are in place

  • Partner with Production Analytics team to develop tools, processes and analysis

Basic Qualifications :

  • 3-5 years of experience in a quantitative business analysis role

  • Advanced Excel modeling; proven ability to create and maintain complex and dynamic excel models

  • High competency with quantitative data analysis for decision-making, Tableau experience preferred

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within a business and creative environment

  • Experience with financial data systems: SAP, TM1:Cognos

  • Data visualization and analysis software experience a plus: Tableau, Power BI

  • Experience with the following languages a plus: SQL, Python, JavaScript

Preferred Education :

  • MBA preferred
