The Walt Disney Company Senior Financial Analyst in Burbank, California

The Theatrical Finance team provides financial, strategic planning and analytical support to the Marketing and Distribution teams, who oversee the worldwide theatrical release of all Studio films, including movies from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios, Disney Live Action and Disneynature.

Reporting to the Manager Global Marketing Finance, this position works with Marketing, Distribution, Studio Finance, and Controllership teams to manage financial planning and reporting primarily for domestic theatrical and international theatrical Burbank basics, including:

Responsibilities :

  • Act as primary department liaison to global publicity, special events and synergy teams, informing financial budget and forecast submissions.

  • Create ad-hoc financial models, analyses, reports and related presentation materials

  • Analyze marketing and distribution cost variances to forecast, minimize as appropriate

  • Maintain and improve department financial reporting tools and processes

  • Contribute to the preparation and analysis of the Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Five Year Plan

  • Assist accounting and other finance teams with development and maintenance of internal controls and processes; ensure the accuracy and reliability of all financial forecasts and reporting

  • Interface with varying levels of marketing and distribution management, studio finance, studio controllership, and other Disney segments

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint ability; VBA, Tableau, SAP and Cognos experience is a plus

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Previous studio entertainment experience a plus

Required Education :

  • Minimum three years business experience in accounting or finance required

  • BA/BS required

Preferred Education :

  • CPA or MBA preferred
