This is an IATSE Local 600 Publicist Guild position covered by a collective bargaining agreement

Responsibilities:

  • Establishing daily communication and rapport with all Multicultural press, updating databases and reports with changes and additions

  • Liaising with press and talent teams to execute PR events and activities including press trips, junkets and on-set media visits.

  • Helping to coordinate plans for all dedicated multicultural press tours, including schedules, logistics, and timely communication with all parties, remotely and on-site.

  • Contributing overall to Multicultural campaign publicity ideation, including brainstorming new creative initiatives and capitalizing on existing assets.

  • Proactively pitching and locking highlight stories and top features to key Multicultural media. Understanding media desires and crafting compelling offers to all external outlets.

  • Maintaining key relationships with culture partners, festivals and panel opportunities to present for all strategies.

  • Working cross functionally with all teams for asset retrieval to ensure all larger promotional goals are achieved.

  • Helping manage all WOM and Influencer screening programs (alongside agencies) with organizations and media partners.

  • Daily communication with agencies and vendors, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are being met

  • Covering Multicultural and Press Team events, press days, junkets, conventions, premieres as needed on-site and virtually.

  • Filling in for Director of Multicultural in relevant meetings/presentations when necessary.

  • Supporting campaigns with organization, timeliness, and follow through.

  • Exhibiting professional, timely communication with key executives across multiple LOBs and with partners to ensure goals are met.

  • Performing other related duties and special projects as assigned and needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years work experience at a studio or public relations agency

  • Robust and longstanding relationships with all Multicultural media (Hispanic, AA, AAPI) and key WOM partners

  • Knowledge of the ongoing multicultural zeitgeist, constantly informed about the cultural conversation and trends

  • Possesses strong presentation skills, both oral and written.

  • Responds in a timely manner to all emails and requests

  • The ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, perform under pressure and pay close attention to detail

  • Flexibility to travel for regional PA tours as needed

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills to assure successful interaction with executives and business unit contacts

  • Detail oriented with superior organization skills

  • Strong team player and self-starter; positively taking initiative to solve problems

  • Creatively driven, genuinely passionate about entertainment, storytelling and pop culture

  • Excellent typing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote and Outlook for meeting requests and calendaring

  • Ability to work overtime when necessary

  • Team player - willing to work with cross functional teams and staff at all levels in support of the marketing team in Burbank and worldwide

  • Candidate should have a strong passion for film publicity and movies and should be familiar with a variety of industry concepts, practices, and procedures, especially in publicity

  • Knowledge of field publicity and processesAbility to troubleshoot tech issues as they arise

  • Overall working knowledge with the SAP and Concur system

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred

The pay rate for this position in California is $3,052.52 per week based on a 56 hour work week.
