The Walt Disney Company Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning Lead in Celebration, Florida

Consumer Insight, Measurement & Analytics (CIMA) is part of the Marketing center of excellence for Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products (DPECP). CIMA influences decision making with integrated, objective, and actionable insights. Within CIMA, the Digital & Travel Operations Analytics (DTOA) department provides analysis across the primary modes used by Guests/clients for vacation discovery, planning, transacting, and management to enable decision making and optimization.We are looking for an innovation and solution-oriented analytical professional to join the team as an Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning Lead. He/she will unite automated science techniques with day-to-day operations to transform the way DTOA operates. The successful candidate will have the ability to implement artificial intelligence (AI)/ machine learning (ML) solutions to business opportunities, measure the impacts, communicate the results and implications, and make recommendations for continuous improvement. He/she will collaborate with product and analytical partners across the organization.The position reports to the Sr. Manager, Omni-Channel Analytics and may or may not have direct reports.

Responsibilities : The Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning Lead's key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Project Management

  • Lead multiple measurement and analytical projects with minimal oversight

  • Collaborate with partners to align efforts and resources

  • Communicate project status to key stakeholders on an ongoing basis

  • Drive projects to on-time completion

AI/ML Measurement

  • Work with business partners to understand use cases and models

  • Create requirements to capture the data needed for measurement

  • Analyze the business impacts

  • Distribute objective results through write-ups and presentations

AI/ML Implementation

  • Understand the data, environment, and processes for day-to-day business operations

  • Create automated models and algorithms that fit into day-to-day operations to focus analytical resources on the greatest opportunities

  • Implement large scale and robust end-to-end solutions that deliver actionable insights and drive efficiencies

  • Maintain best practices documentation and to assist end users

  • Measure the impacts of implement solutions and adjust as necessary

Basic Qualifications :

  • 7+ years of relevant experience

  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, complex, and ambiguous business environment

  • Ability to deliver work on-time with a solution-oriented approach

  • Proficiency with “big data” environments, tools, and programming languages such as Python, R, and/or TensorFlow

  • Experience in implementing large-scale AI/ML products that leverage technical knowledge, such as neural networks, deep learning, natural language processing, causal inference, clustering, and optimizations, into daily business operations at scale

  • Experience in measuring the impacts of AI/ML products on business operations

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts into simple terms for diverse audiences

  • Act as a steward for data governance and processes

  • Desire to learn and grow with an organization

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications :

  • 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience with digital and contact center data and analytics

  • Experience with travel industry data and analytics

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau

  • Conversational in Mandarin, Cantonese, and/or French

Required Education :

  • Master’s degree in analytical/quantitative field – e.g. computer science, statistics, operations research, economics, mathematics, marketing analytics, engineering, etc. – or equivalent work experience

Preferred Education :

  • Ph.D. in an analytical/quantitative field related or equivalent
