The Walt Disney Company Assistant Manager - North America Brand Commercialization in Celebration, Florida

About the Role & Team:

As a member of our Consumer Products, Games, and Publishing division (CPGP), the Assistant Manager, North America Brand Commercialization will support the strategic commercialization strategies for our consumer products and retail channels within the Americas region for The Walt Disney Company’s portfolio for the Marvel & Star Wars brands.

This role will support brand and category strategies through partnerships with content partners, category and retail team, marketing strategy, Public Relations, and other key partners across CPGP, Lucasfilm, and Marvel Studios.

If selected for this role, you will report to the Senior Manager, North America Brand Commercialization.

This is a Full-Time role.

What You Will Do:

  • Support strategic brand strategy for North America for products across Marvel & Star Wars brands.

  • Assist in developing regional brand objectives and standards for all assigned properties and become the North American brand expert for that portfolio.

  • Applying acquired brand knowledge, review all marketing collateral submitted by North American licensee and retail customer base.

  • Craft compelling content and marketing presentations and confidently present them to internal and external partners, including key licensees and retailers.

  • Manage projects to meet key achievements based on business needs.

  • Track licensee and retailer support for licensed merchandise associated with key evergreen properties as well as new content releases.

  • Identify gaps in retail support for assigned portfolio and work with cross-functional partners to develop solutions to address.

  • Think strategically and with a solution-based approach.

  • Liaise with Licensees and Retailers as needed.

  • Manage critical early asset delivery process.

  • Continually evaluate processes to increase efficiencies in ways of working, using technology

  • Build relationships with global partners and ensure timely & clear communication.

  • Act as a key contact and manage relationships with internal cross-functional partners.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • At least three years of brand/franchise or retail sales experience

  • Ability to build and present engaging presentations. Presentation experience to large groups required

  • Strategic problem solver with attention to detail

  • Ability to collaborate, influence and persuade at all levels across an organization

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities with the skills to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Comfortable working through a matrix structure to deliver the end solution

  • Agile and adaptable - can thrive in ambiguous business situations.

  • Understanding of the Disney brands and the broader organization


Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in California is $73,400.00-$98,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
