What You Will Do
Join us as a full-time Global Brand & Franchise Management intern where you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing the long-term business plans for Disney Consumer Products. The Disney Global Brand Commercialization team is responsible for brand & franchise management in support of beloved properties and storytelling – everything from Mickey Mouse to Disney Princess and Toy Story to Encanto! Our Intern supports the execution of the Disney Princess & Frozen franchise strategies and vision across DCP and assists in the day-to-day development and implementation of franchise playbooks. If selected for this role, you will report to the Assistant Manager of Global Brand Commercialization.
Your role will involve:
Build and manage internal team resource tools by franchise, including guidelines and reference documents, calendars, and program assets to aid in overall brand management
Develop marketing materials, including one-pagers, brand decks, sizzles, and product updates to support our sales, marketing, and franchise management efforts
Conduct competitive analysis and research, providing regular updates and insights to the team
Manage and track the internal marketing approval process, ensuring compliance with company guidelines
Schedule and coordinate team meetings, build agendas, distribute meeting notes and follow up on action items as needed
Collaborate with Category and Asset Operations teams to acquire accurate product images and creative updates to support filmmaker meetings, presentations, PR requests and more
Manage content updates, including generating attendee lists, scheduling, and coordinating logistics for screenings
Proficiently build and update presentation materials using PowerPoint and Keynote
Act as a liaison between our team and Third-Party Commercialization, Publishing, and Games teams, providing updates on franchise developments and tool availability
Required Qualifications & Skills
Self-starter, motivated, proactive, conscientious, flexible, detail-oriented
Excellent organizational, attention to details, and presentation skills
Ability to project manage and balance multiple deadlines
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and teamwork skills
Resourceful, innovative and adaptable to change
Strong digital literacy (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word, Keynote)
- Undergraduate students in senior year (or recently graduated within the past six months) pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or other related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Ability to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 - January 2025
Ability to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) Monday - Friday, for the duration of the internship with possible evenings and weekends if necessary
Must provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Orlando, FL area
Must have reliable transportation to/from work
