The Enterprise Procure to Pay (PTP) Business Process Team is part of the Financial Systems and Business Transformation team and supports the strategic direction of the Source-to-Pay value chain while simultaneously overseeing the governance of the end to end process. Partnering with internal stakeholders and key suppliers, the team works to help drive the goals and objectives of Corporate and business unit stakeholders. The team evaluates and recommends business process improvements and system enhancements for procurement and payables systems and continuously reviews new solutions that can holistically support the supply chain management process.

The Manager, Financial Systems is a key member of the DWSS Financial Systems and Business Transformation Team responsible for supporting the technology, reporting, and process improvement needs of DWSS, Sourcing & Procurement and Segment Stakeholders as well as the overall Financial Systems community in the key areas of customer service, compliance, savings and process efficiency. The Manager’s key focus will be to support the Company goals of driving cost savings, mitigating risk in the supply chain and implementing world-class solutions for internal stakeholders while managing project initiatives that drive long-term shareholder value through the provision of value-added functions and services. The Manager is also responsible for the governance of the Procure-to-Pay process as designed in the Enterprise SAP ERP system. The Manager will ensure that process and system changes adhere to Sarbanes Oxley guidelines, including proper separation of duties, and that any changes to the system do not have a negative impacts to existing functionality. This leader is responsible for staying abreast of contemporary technological advancements and making system improvement recommendations to the organization.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with system implementations and client support at a Corporate or Segment level. The candidate should be familiar with current business analytics tools, process improvement and project management methodologies, as well as technology infrastructure best practices.

This person will report to the Director, Disney Financial Systems supporting Disney Worldwide Shared Services.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Minimum of five years of demonstrated relevant experience building, implementing, and supporting procurement and accounts payable solutions, including external reporting or internal management reporting

  • Minimum of five years of experience managing business process improvements, preferably with supply chain management or a similar function

  • Experience working for large company and within a matrix organization

  • Experience working within the entertainment Industry

  • Minimum two years of experience working in SAP or other major ERP system

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate – verbally and in writing – with all levels of the organization

  • Ability to understand and adapt to different audiences and clients, while anticipating their business needs

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate organizational structures and build credibility with internal clients/stakeholders

  • Demonstrated multi-tasking and project management skills enabling management of a workload that includes tactical logistics and strategic sourcing efforts, while adhering to deadlines and high quality standards

  • Ability to demonstrate strong business acumen and excel in a dynamic, matrix environment

  • Experience implementing financial processes and systems with an ability to discriminate between symptoms and root causes

  • Ability to focus on diverse issues where data analysis may lead to a multi-dimensional solution design based on a myriad of factors and evolving business trends/requirements

  • Ability to promote problem solving processes and drive the resulting enhancement ideas through to implementation

  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills and the ability to grasp complex financial data models

  • Proven ability to collaborate and establish relationships with employees and teams, at all levels of an organization

  • Prior project implementation experience, including requirements gathering, technical design/development, testing, implementation, and Hypercare

  • Understanding of one or more eProcurement applications (e.g. Ariba, SRM 7.0, Oracle iProcure, Coupa,etc.)

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal/remote supervision

  • Excellent facilitator capable of influencing people over which he/she has no authority

  • Proven ability in making customers the key focus for decisions about business processes (i.e. Customer Focus)

  • Exhibits a high level of positive energy, self-direction, openness to change and motivation

  • Ability to coach and mentor more junior team members

  • Experienced in using the Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Formal project management experience

  • Experience supporting the source to pay value chain in a large company

  • Demonstrated experience with the SAP ECC 6.0 Materials Management module

  • Experience transitioning financial functions into a Shared Service Center environment

  • Experience supporting a global operation

  • Experience using systems designed to manage issues, changes and testing (e.g. Service Manager, Rational Team Concert, ALM)

  • Experience interacting with and making presentations to senior levels of management

  • Demonstrated experience managing process efficiency projects

  • Experience leading and championing change

  • Proficiency in data modeling/data mining

  • Experience working on business intelligence/data warehousing and reporting systems projects (e.g. Business Objects, Cognos, Tableau, Crystal Reports, MS SQL Report Builder or similar)

  • PMP® certification

  • Six Sigma® certification (Black belt, Green belt, LEAN)

Required Education :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration or similar career field

Preferred Education :

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Management or related field
