The Walt Disney Company Allocator in Glendale, California

As a Disney store/shopDisney Allocator, you will be responsible for developing and delivering against weekly Allocation plans for your assigned department, taking into account sales and margin targets, promotions and key releases for both Disney’s Brick & Mortar Disney store business and shopDisney eCommerce business.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for allocation plans (by week) for assigned departments to achieve sales and margin targets, taking into account all promotions, franchise releases and events for all selling channels

  • Maintain Allocation Flow Forecast and review with Manager and Planning business partner on a weekly basis to ensure alignment on allocations to support company and department strategies

  • Execute initial stage set allocations, according to planned Average per Store (APS) unit sales and appropriate Weeks on Hand (WOH) by selling channel, within the agreed stage set timelines, taking visual and product strategies into account

  • Ensure levels of all promotional inventory and new franchise/synergy launches are in all selling channels on time, with replenishment planned to maximize sales while minimizing imbalances by store/channel

  • Analyze and review data to propose ongoing action where necessary to maintain appropriate inventory levels by selling channel throughout product lifecycle

  • Manage allocations from multiple distribution centers to maintain the appropriate weeks of supply in Stores

  • Attend the stage set walkthrough prior to allocation to understand visual presentation strategy (fixture and location within store) and inventory needed to support

  • Review new store allocations with Manager to ensure opening with the right levels of inventory to support category, franchise and promotional sales

  • Participate in team meetings to discuss Allocation strategies and escalate and resolve issues as necessaryCollaborate within the department to drive efficiencies and best practices

Basic Qualifications :

  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment

  • Specialty Retail and/or eCommerce experience a plus

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team

  • High level of computer literacy; with a focus on Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint

  • Exposure to relevant analytical and data management systems and reporting types

  • High motivation and willingness to learn

  • Must be extremely detail oriented

  • Strong organizational skills
