Corporate Communications is responsible for external communications for the Company’s corporate-level functions and the senior executive leadership team. These include C-suite level executives, as well as Corporate Finance, Treasury, Legal, Corporate Citizenship, Strategy, International, Brand and Franchise, and Human Resources. Corporate Communications also oversees and coordinates communications efforts for the company’s four business segments; operates a full-service creative and events agency (Disney Corporate Creative Resources (DCCR); and manages D23: The Official Disney Fan Club and the biannual D23 Expo.
Work closely with the art department of Disney twenty-three on photo research to gather and manage historic and current art for use in publication
Work closely with editor-in-chief, managing editor and designers of Disney Newsreel to pull relevant art for online publication on a daily basis
Work closely the web editor of D23.com to pull and format artwork for online features on a daily basis
Create a photo database and source, clear, size, tag, and post images
Provide caption information to writers as needed
Clean up artwork and prepare for usage
Photograph special employee events, portraits and products as needed
Maintain relationships with photo departments from the Company’s various business units
Look at proofs and attend press checks for various publications
Effectively communicate art-gathering status to various editors and writers
Set up and perform photo shoots for various publications and corporate events
Produce art for all other Corporate Communications projects as needed, including marketing collateral for D23 and D23 Expo and other special programs
Basic Qualifications :
A minimum of 3 years of professional work experience.
Detailed computer skills on Mac (Word, Excel, Google Docs, Project Management software, Outlook);
Highly experienced with PhotoShop and Bridge;
Experience with Digital Asset Management systems.
Required Education :
- B.A. degree in Photography, Liberal Arts or related field.
