About the Role & Team

As a Project Associate Product Development with Disney Publishing Worldwide (DPW), you will support licensees within a designated region serving as a liaison between design teams and artists. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Manager- Project Manager

This is a Full-Time role

What You Will Do

Every single day in the Project Associate role is different! On any one day, you might:

  • Provide product development support to various formats (print and digital) created by domestic and international licensees.

  • Route product and marketing submissions in an online system, synthesizing feedback from creative teams so that licensees have a clear understanding of the changes they need to make for their products to be approved by creative stakeholders

  • Establish relationships with internal Disney Publishing Worldwide creative teams in various countries to stay educated about Art, Editorial, Design and Audio guidelines for all franchises, including Disney, Lucasfilm, Marvel, Pixar and National Geographic

  • Establish relationships with licensees and become an expert on each licensee's product offerings and market/distribution situation to present this to all teams that are reviewing product development stages and sales and marketing materials

  • Provide support to licensees with daily inquiries, which are related to systems, creative, assets, and process/ schedule.

  • Identify "problem" licensees in creative or process areas and work with Creative Operations manager to fortify weak areas

  • Communicate guidelines to licensees through daily email exchanges and meetings that include members of those same creative teams when extra guidance is needed by a licensee

  • Act as liaison between creative teams and licensees, learning how to balance (and to occasionally arbitrate) differences between the creative guidelines of Art/Editorial/Design teams and licensee business limitations

  • Secure reference/assets from various content providers around the company for use in products

  • Manage administrative tasks that serve Creative Operations as well as external partners

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in a project management role

  • 2+ years of experience working with creative teams

  • High level of organization skills, ability to prioritize many complex and detailed projects at once

  • Excellent relationship building skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and within tight deadlines

  • Ability to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders

  • Problem solver with a “can do” attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Negotiation experience

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $68,300 to $93,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
