ShopDisney.com is seeking a seasoned digital commerce expert that will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize both the customer experience as well as business results. The Site Merchandising manager will develop and lead a team of Site Merchandisers who will work to create seamless customer experiences across all platforms and channels for both ShopDisney.com and Marvelstore.com
The ideal Site Merchandising Manager is an experienced people manager, strong problem-solver, effective communicator, and has a demonstrated history of developing and leading exceptional site merchandising programs through a balanced creative and data driven eye.
Responsibilities : SITE
Support the business by leveraging ecommerce principles as well as general business expertise to ensure the website merchandising is optimized to reflect guest behavior and business priorities
Work closely with the merchandising group to understand merchandise needs and priorities and manage site execution with site merchandiser accordingly
Ensure consistency across the site across all customer touchpoints including navigation, product layout, content strategies, linking strategies
Work closely with marketing to ensure seamless customer experience from all marketing channels
Develop and manage content strategy, layout and merchandise products across the site.
Be a subject-matter expert on the functionality and tooling necessary to create, manage and optimize the site layout.
Work with Merchandising, Planning, Marketing and Creative for all appropriate brand and category initiatives and ensure proper execution on the site.
Identify opportunities across systems, processes, functionalities and develop improvements and solutions
Develop strong partnerships with analytics team to create consistent data flow to help inform on site execution
Develop and partner with digital product teams to identify and optimize technical opportunities on the website to enhance guest experience.
Develop and maintain A/B testing processes in close partnership with the digital product teams
Manage editorial and design production timelines.
Hire, train and develop a strong bench of site merchandisers through strong consistent coaching and mentorship
Create a culture of openness
Lead by example by continually seeing out new and innovative ecommerce specific opportunities to drive sales and site functionality
Basic Qualifications :
4-6 years of experience with online product merchandising
4+ years of retail experience: strong understanding of retail business tactics in both the regular price and promotional spaces a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with commerce platforms such as Salesforce, CommerceCloud etc
Solutions-oriented with a proven track record of taking ownership, accountability and driving results
Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Deep understanding of customer behavior analytics both on site and across all marketing channels and tactics
Experience in web analytics: Omniture experience a plus
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and balance asks and needs across various stakeholders.
A strong, creative problem solver who is self-motivated and tenacious when tackling tough issues
A team player with energy and enthusiasm and a high tolerance for change
Experience with a large, matrixed organizations and brands preferred
