The Walt Disney Company Star Wars Brand Content Manager, Disney's Yellow Shoes -Project Hire in Glendale, California
As the Star Wars Brand Content Manager, you’ll be responsible for providing guidance to our internal and external creative marketing and sales organization for all story, copy and visual development for all of our marketing materials worldwide.
You’ll maintain the integrity of franchise content through our various lines of businesses and provide continuity across our organization. You’ll use your deep understanding of the Star Wars franchise to advise and guide both internal stakeholders and external partners through the proposal, conception and implementation of content and campaigns.
Based in Glendale, CA, the Star Wars Brand Content Manager will report to the Director, Creative of Disney’s Yellow Shoes Creative Group. You’ll work closely with executive leadership as well as partner with the Walt Disney Imagineering and Lucasfilm teams.
Serve as our go-to in-house Star Wars expert providing guidance and support for all copy, art, video and related Sales and Marketing assets.
Provide inspiration and knowledge base of all things Star Wars-related for our internal and external creative and marketing teams.
Partner closely with Executive Leadership (Creative and Strategic) in ensuring Star Wars franchise guidelines are maintained.
Maintain close working relationship serving as a liaison between Walt Disney Imagineering/Lucasfilm teams and the Yellow Shoes team.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment providing support for multiple projects at once.
Excels at presenting ideas to Executives as well as taking and acting upon constructive feedback.
Basic Qualifications :
Minimum of 4-5 years experience in creative development of marketing and content creation.
Excellent writing, editing and verbal skills.
Extensive Star Wars story knowledge and digital content experience.
Proven results managing Star Wars programs, with advanced understanding of social platforms and tools.
Innate ability to work both respectfully and nimbly across a larger organization
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Passion, appreciation and knowledge of Lucasfilm IP (Star Wars) absolutely essential.
Required Education :
- BA or BS required, preferably with a background in Marketing, Communications, or other related field
