The Walt Disney Company Financial Audit Intern - Summer 2020 in Glendale, Florida

Interns will work in Financial Audit and will develop financial auditing, accounting, and general analytical skills. Interns will also participate in special projects in assigned audit areas to provide solutions to problems and to gain additional exposure outside of immediate department.

  • At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization

  • Program Dates : Interns must be fully available from May 2020 to August 2020 .

  • Housing : Interns must provide their own housing for the duration of their internship program in California.

  • Transportation : Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.

  • Currently pursuing (or recently graduated within 6 months with) an undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or other business related field.

What We Are Looking For…

  • General accounting and business process knowledge related to financial statements, revenue recognition, account reconciliation, amortization, etc.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis in Excel and Powerpoint

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to adapt behavior and approach to different people and situations, including working well independently and with teams

  • Maturity, self-confidence, and tactful assertiveness

A Day in the Life…

  • Assist in preparation and presentation of various projects and provide solutions to problems as needed

  • Assist Financial Audit Seniors and Managers with audit planning, fieldwork, documentation, and reporting tasks

  • Develop financial auditing, accounting, and general analytical skills

  • Work with Enterprise Resource Planning system (SAP) to extract data and perform analytics using Excel, Access, and other tools

Responsibilities :
