The Walt Disney Company Sales Operations Manager, Disney Vacation Club in Kapolei, Hawaii

Provide leadership and direction to a team of over 20 cast members in the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Operations in the areas of sales center operations, transportation and call center tour booking areas. Locations of the Operation include Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, Japan Member Services Office at the Ko Olina Center, Ala Moana Shopping Center, Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, Ka Makana Ali'i Shopping Center, and all off-site storage areas and any future off-site DVC marketing locations. The Operations Manager will handle project management and coordination for all aspects of the sales infrastructure.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide coaching and development to the team in order to achieve higher levels of cast and guest service by communicating clear and timely job expectations.

  • Continuously improve, evaluate and build operations processes to ensure efficiencies across all functions of the operation with a focus on guest experience and resource utilization. Duties to include:

  • Transportation coordination / vehicle maintenance

  • Preview Center guest experience process

  • Tour incentive management and process

  • Broad scope for sales infrastructure project management

  • Cross-discipline coverage to include sales and marketing (Disney Vacation Club Associate role)

  • Off-site sales infrastructure to include sales office and storage responsibilities

  • Coordination of Model Room maintenance

  • Coordination of Sales office maintenance (Aulani, JMH, Waikiki)

  • Assists with guest service issues / situations

  • Partner and assist when necessary with all DVC and resort leadership in times of need

  • Partner with DVC leaders at other locations such as Walt Disney World and Disneyland to share best practices, while using those partners as resources for future plans and procedures.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in an operations environment

  • Demonstrated leadership ability, including strong partnering, coaching and mentoring skills

  • Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills to complete assigned projects and processes in a timely manner

  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Excellent strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including weekends and holidays

  • Demonstrated commitment to cast members

  • Demonstrated ability to manage the operation and teach it to cast members

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and monitor cast performance and operational improvements

  • Demonstrated business acumen along with a passion for superb guest service and cast excellence

  • Proven knowledge and expertise with a variety of computer programs including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Experience in a fast-paced, performance driven sales environment

  • Experience with continuous improvement processes

  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflict

  • Experience with developing business plans

  • Experience managing vendor relationships

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Proven knowledge and expertise with operations software and customer relationship management programs

  • Practical experience with IT systems

  • Ability to speak/read/write fluent English and Japanese

Required Education :

Bachelor's degree or equivalent
