The Walt Disney Company Business Relations Coordinator in Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Job Summary:

The Business Relations team has an immediate opening for a Business Relations Coordinator working with external and owned and operated retail locations. As a member of the Business Relations team, you will provide daily support to Operating Participants at Disney Springs.

This position is located at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

Responsibilities:

As the Business Relations Coordinator you will provide support and handle the daily clerical and operational needs of the Operating Participants and the Business Relations team at Disney Springs. You will establish and maintain processes, and support the Business Relations Managers in executing pre-determined strategies, and ensure communication to Operating Participants is timely and consistent. You will share communication amongst all partners in regards to Operating Participant events, maintenance and show quality, and all other property anomalies determined by the Business Relations Managers. Additionally, you will walk the entire Disney Springs property on a regular basis to report on the adherence to safety and show policies.

As a Coordinator you will also support the Business Relations Manager with the planning, organization and coordination of Commercial Marketing and Event initiatives, including but not limited to: Company-initiated activations, marketing content input requests, and Special Events & Media operation activity. This also includes attending initial conceptual meetings, collecting content input from a variety of lines of business, site license agreements, be on site support for the event ensuring proper execution and communication, gather results from the event, share findings and end-product with participants, and recap successes and opportunities. For Convention Buy-outs, you will support the Operating Participant location by communicating property needs, logistics, and other necessary approvals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience within Walt Disney World operations

  • Proven knowledge and understanding of Walt Disney World policies and procedures

  • Demonstrated strong partnering skills

  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information

  • Demonstrated computer proficiency within a Windows environment

  • Ability to utilize Disney Technology systems such as MATRA, Business Objects and a la carte

  • Ability to be flexible with work schedules including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting multiple lines of business or events

  • Operating Participant Experience/3rd Party Vendor Experience

  • Food and Beverage and Retail Event knowledge and understanding

Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
