The Walt Disney Company Organizational Mgmt Project Analyst (PH) in Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Job Summary:

This position is part of the Global HR Operations Organization Management team. Organizational Management is responsible for governing the organizational architecture and infrastructure for The Walt Disney Company’s headcount administration and employee statuses in accordance with business and system requirements, policy, legal, tax, financial, and contractual obligations, to include managing the intricacies of core HR data impacts on interfacing systems and processes, while upholding unparalleled service standards and global partnerships. Org Management is positioned as a natural hub within functional business processes and acts as an integration point tying together all partners.

Managing headcount across The Walt Disney Company is a critical business function for HR and Finance. The Global HR Organizational Management team is seeking an analyst to help with the design and implementation of process and tools that satisfy a broad spectrum of stakeholder headcount needs. This position is routinely required to partner with line of business & senior management stakeholders and technical and functional teams across the enterprise to ensure the effective delivery of integrated system and process solutions.

They must analyze and define complex organization management functions, business processes, and user needs at a global level. The results of their work impacts the employee experience, leader experience; supports and enables policy administration; and mitigates risk for the company. Analysts must assess and evaluate requests/business needs using their Core HR subject matter expertise, technical knowledge, policy/compliance knowledge, and weigh it against various impacts and dependencies for the purpose of providing recommendations/solutions relative to headcount management process and technology design, implementation and sustainment.


  • Evaluate and document current state:

  • Support and lead project management activities such as task management, status reports and stakeholder management

  • Assist with the development of communications to stakeholders & end users

  • For headcount management processes related to the Org Management team including the approval processes and other various aspects of position changes

  • For employment status/classification as compared to company standards, policies and legal guidance

  • Write business requirements to enable solution definition

  • Develop future state design and recommendations for the implementation of headcount management processes, business rules, and tools

  • Assist with the development of a business case for potential solutions

  • Assist with the assessment of potential solutions for business fit as a global solution

  • Assist with development of training and other tools for implementation of approved recommendations; support training and change management

  • Contribute to various data integrity projects in alignment with Enterprise standards, and ensure data consistency is maintained across the Enterprise, in alignment with strategic HR initiatives and analytical reporting requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience demonstrating quality customer service and project management skills

  • Proven ability to lead business process design efforts

  • Proven ability to listen to, and determine the unique requirements for, a wide array of business units

  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills

  • Proven familiarity with headcount management and hiring approval processes

  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite (O365, SharePoint, Visio, MS Project, Access, Excel)

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ownership of tasks and deliverables

  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills and time management skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, operate under general direction and perform duties with broad latitude for judgment

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to balance and respond to competing priorities

  • Possess a natural curiosity to understand the business

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working on projects and with common project management methodologies

  • Experience and comfort with Microsoft Project or other project management technologies

  • Proven advanced experience with one or more of the following: ORG, REMY, GENIE, HAF, ELE, data integration

  • Prior business case development experience

  • Prior experience scaling a solution globally

  • Comfort balancing diverse senior level stakeholder points of view

  • Experience with Data Management/Database design/SQL/SAAS

  • 2-4 years related Org Management or HRIS experience

  • Experience in Industrial Engineering or Human Resources preferred
