About the Role & Team
The WDW Revenue Planning and Forecasting team demonstrates deep understanding of Guest demographics and behaviors, trends, pricing strategies, and marketing plans to support the strategic direction and key projects for Walt Disney World (WDW). The Revenue Planning team supports key planning and forecasting processes as well as evaluates incremental demand and revenue for new theme park and resort investments.
With this posting, we are looking for a Revenue Planning Analyst who will support our key planning and forecasting processes and data-driven insights along with measuring and evaluating growth initiatives for WDW. This role will establish and maintain close partnerships with Revenue Forecasting team as well as many areas across the company, including Operations, Pricing, Industrial Engineering, Consumer Insights, Finance, and Commercial teams.
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who has a natural curiosity to proactively identify, evaluate, and communicate business performance using data-driven insights. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with outstanding analytical skills who can use highly complex data sets to deliver concise analytics and build leadership presentations. The candidate should have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a focus on storytelling.
What You Will Do
Support development of WDW revenue long-term plan and annual operating plan (includes development of revenue drivers, deck preparation and financial consolidation)
Translate business performance drivers and metrics into insightful analysis and recommendations, influencing revenue goals and organizational decisions
Evaluate incremental demand and revenue impacts for new project investments, including new theme park attractions, lands, and resorts
Exercise strong conceptual thinking skills – understand broad concepts, articulate linkages/gaps, and recommend tactics/strategies that enable a vision
Identify, evaluate, and communicate business trends and metrics, clearly representing the story and key takeaways to Senior Leaders
Evaluate prior initiatives / projects to help influence future project investments, business growth, and strategic decision making
Drive efficiency through process improvements, including revision and creation of financial models and templates
Collaborate and partner with other areas across the company to influence decision-making,
Required Qualifications & Skills
Enjoy working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
Demonstrated technical ability to bring to bear data using spreadsheets and databases and translating business data into insights that can be shared with Senior Leaders
Proven strong analytical skills in financial forecasting, statistical analysis, and strong communication skills in developing and presenting fact-based insights and recommendations to Senior Leaders
Shown ability to meet deadlines, prioritize multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal direction
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or other quantitative field
