As the Senior Mechanical Engineer, You will act as the owner's representative in the application of mechanical engineering principles and practices for the long-term management of mechanical systems in our theme parks. You must have the ability to make mid to high-level technical decisions that affect design outcomes, independent of management. You should be familiar with applicable codes, and standards found in the mechanical engineering industry, and proficient in the accurate application of such. You will be a critical-thinking partner for the organization's customers and clients and develop client, partner, and customer relationships that are helpful to the organization.
You will work for the Manager of Programs Project Design Support.
What You Will Do
Represent the organization among clients or customers when articulating solutions that align with the needs of the segment's business objectives
Demonstrate proficiency in the use of both technical and administrative application software, as well as in the successful completion of engineering projects that are at the Senior Engineer level of responsibility
Provide leadership in normal day-to-day accountabilities that include support of and participation in interpersonal pivotal initiatives
Update partners, clients, and co-workers on task statuses and schedules
Required Qualifications & Skills
PE License
Seven-plus years of experience in the design of HVAC systems
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
Dedication to continuing education and growing technical proficiency
Self-starter
Ability to multi-task and manage consultants in the delivery of projects
Proven track record of leading and good mentor abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Member of a Professional Society
Experience with the selection of pumps
Knowledge of the Florida Department of Health requirements for swimming pools and an understanding of filtration and circulation systems of pools
Familiarity with Epcot, Florida Gas, and Plumbing codes
Education
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited College or University
