The Commerce, Growth & Identity (CGI) team is dedicated to three business-critical areas at Disney that will help transform its media business. They create seamless user experiences for consumers who can choose from a wide range of subscription plans, enabling more choice and flexibility. The CGI team is also focused on building innovative and cutting-edge capabilities that will drive subscriptions, engagement, and monetization across Disney’s streaming and digital products.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to help deliver the best consumer-facing commerce services in the world. As part of the rapidly growing Core Commerce Product team, you will be tasked with defining and supporting key aspects of our commerce experiences, including subscription features and transactional messaging.

This role functions as a day-to-day liaison between business, data and analytics, technology, marketing and product organizations to maximize commerce objectives.

The ideal candidate is collaborative, makes data-driven decisions, obsesses about the customer, forms strong yet loosely held opinions, and can build trust with all areas of the business. We value passionate product leadership that drives with discipline and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Establish strategy for subscription and transactional messaging features to achieve both business and customer facing objectives

  • Deliver features that allow users to better understand and manage their subscriptions across any Disney streaming service

  • Collaborate and coordinate with engineering, design, marketing, product leadership, analytics and business insight teams on objectives and business requirements

  • Translate inputs and business needs into detailed product requirements documents and user stories for engineering teams to execute

  • Partner with other Product Managers to streamline system integrations and enhance existing business processes

  • Partner with regional stakeholders around the world to address consumer, legal, and regulatory nuances while solving for global scale.

  • Maintain all necessary JIRA tasks, boards and detailed documentation across teams, as well as all necessary communication to internal stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

  • You have at least 5 years of product management experience, preferably with at least 2 in a subscription service

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience

  • You have deep familiarity with the streaming video industry and understand the different value propositions that all the market leaders offer their customers

  • You have experience using JIRA and other product and project management tools

  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills

  • You're an analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills

  • You have a deep understanding of the subscription domain with a passion for technology; you’re not just concerned about what we build, but how we build it

  • You're familiar with working on projects with distributed teams, making use of technology and process to overcome the challenges of working with remote staff

The hiring range for this position in California is $136,038 to $199,870 per year and in Seattle, Washington and New York, New York is $142,516 to $191,180 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
