Media Engineering is an innovative organization that is focused on providing the best possible video playback experience, art, and metadata to customers around the world, powered by exceptional technology. This strategic work requires streamlining and re-purposing technology across different business and distribution channels – including streaming, linear, and theatrical – so that technology can ebb and flow across the needs of the business.
Tooling Ecosystem Team
This team specializes in developing software solutions that enhance UI/UX frameworks, authentication, and web infrastructure that support the operator tools within Media Engineering. Our mission is to seamlessly integrate user experience with top-notch security measures.
Responsibilities
Craft and maintain the UX/UI framework that enhances developer productivity for the operator tools
Manage authentication integrations to the wider company login services
Contribute to a culture of collaboration and innovation
Build quality products
Provide on-call rotational support as needed
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of software engineering experience
Experience in programming with Backend and Frontend UI development and proficient with one or more general purpose programming languages (Python, Java, Javascript, etc)
Desire to work in a start-up, fast-growth, or rapid-change environment
Problem-solving skills to identify the root cause
Solid communication skills – written, and oral
Understanding of agile methodologies and git source control
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS technologies and cloud infrastructure
Experience using technologies/services such as Terraform, Jenkins, Docker
Experience with React, Angular, NodeJS
Experience building APIs
Experience building high availability UIs with complex security requirements

The hiring range for this position in Seattle, WA and in New York City, NY is $117,998 to $158,290 per year; the hiring range for this position in Santa Monica/Burbank/Glendale/L.A., California and in Bristol, Connecticut is $112,586 to $151,030; and the hiring range for this position in San Francisco, California is $123,328 to $165,440 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
