The Walt Disney Company Network technician 1 in Shanghai, China

Assist Entertainment Department with: diagnose and resolve the Entertainment Show System LAN / Wi-Fi problem in a timely fashion. Work closely with IT Support team and participate in managing all network security solutions and implementation, handle the Entertainment network related Change Management and ensure all changes are under standard procedure and controlling. Maintain Entertainment network hardware and software, analyze problems, and monitor the Entertainment network to ensure availability to show system users. Provide server monthly performance monitoring report, Server Capacity Review and Root Cause Analysis.

Responsibilities :

  • Maintain and monitor Entertainment network system to support shows equipment

  • Report, assist and direct maintenance of Network equipment with IT support team

  • Equipment installation to Government, industry and Disney standards

  • Support the events and operation for Network connection part and provideremedial assistance to the team as required

  • Develop and deliver training classes specific to skill set

  • Other work assigned by managers

  • Supervise, assist and sign-off all required Network before, during and after the performances

  • Ability to provide team professional training on Network equipment operation, and keep improving team working skills

  • Ensure completion of any required maintenance on the entertainment equipment

  • Report and follow-up on outstanding maintenance work orders

  • Maintain a clean working environment

  • Manage work orders and track through the Maximo software application

Basic Qualifications :

  • Demonstrated ability to use Windows computers and Microsoft Office software

  • Bachelor or equivalent and above degree in Telecommunications or Computer Science or equivalent plus minimum 1 years of relevant professional work experience

  • Working experience of below one or more Network system:

  • Proven experience with security principals and general software management best practices, as well as OS patching, antivirus operation, logging management

  • Basis network knowledge and troubleshooting skill set

  • Familiar with Cisco, H3C, Palo Alto, Juniper, F5, and Net Scout etc. on one or more products

  • MSCE, ITIL, PMP certificate owner preferred

  • Experience in SQL Server and Oracle database preferred

  • Advanced communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences

  • Fluent in Mandarin

  • Semi-fluent in English
