In view of Southeast Asia’s growth, we are now seeking and are now looking a Manager, Learning, Talent & Organization Development, HR Business Partner SEA to participate in and contribute to organisational effectiveness and change. All work and efforts of the team are directed towards attracting, motivating and retaining the talent needed by our businesses, and keeping business needs as the key “driver” of Disney’s L&D programs and overall philosophy. Responsibilities : Focus
80% Time towards the learning, Talent and Organization Development role
Assess relevant training needs for employees and the organization, in consultation with departmental heads / HRBP’s, including assessment methods and measurement systems required.
Manage programs, from rolling out the quarterly calendar to facilitating relevant programs, seeking nominations, sending invites to ensuring all programs are executed out as planned.
Research and engage with vendors to get the appropriate vendors to facilitate based on the needs identified.
Identify, assess and manage technical training programs required to bridge current trends
Support and ensure smooth roll out of the Onboarding program and mandatory programs for all employees across all locations within SEA.
Conduct a follow up studies of all completed training to evaluate changes required in the design of the programs based on the feedback received and to meet the learning Philosophy
Prepare presentations and reports at various stages of projects.
Manage the Learning budget along with the Learning Leader.
Talent and Organization Development:
Support and manage Leadership Development Programs along with Head of the function.
Support and lead Organization Development and change initiatives
Lead and manage specific action plans as a result of Employee Survey. Design the project plan for assigned action plans and identify various steps, the stakeholder involvements that can facilitate the buy –in of the project deliverables and results.
Support L&D leader in specific development initiatives around Talent Management
Drive Diversity Initiatives in SEA
- Facilitate Performance Management sessions to educate and drive a culture of Performance Management. Regularly share updates to HR business partners and business leaders to align with the Performance Management Philosophy and for smooth execution of performance management process within the organization.
20% Time towards HR Business Partner role
Strategic Business Partnership:
Understand the business and play a significant role in driving the people initiatives aligned to the business strategy and plans
Keep the business leaders informed on industry HR trends that affect the business and build business stakeholder partnerships and buy in for all HR deliveries and initiatives
Workforce Planning & Management:
Assist in managing an optimal headcount plan and organization structure for the business in line with the business plans
Assist in the headcount planning process for the AOP and the Five Year Plan exercise
Partner with hiring managers to determine the type of hire, jobs vs projects, nature of employment
Partner with business leaders to Increase the quality of jobs available internally through job enlargement, job enhancement opportunities
Ensure competitive compensation and benefits for employees and new recruits aligned to the company’s compensation philosophy
Partner with stakeholders for appropriate org design work as and when the business / situation demands it
Drive Culture / Change in the organization:
Propagate a performance oriented work culture in the organization by effectively driving the performance management process
Partner with line managers to determine learning and development needs of their teams
Drive talent planning, employee development and engagement initiatives for high potential employees
Guide employee’s / business teams to facilitate organization and culture change through recognition, employee communication and customized initiatives
Manage employee relations and address employee grievances
Basic Qualifications :
The ideal candidate would be a strong leader with proven learning skills, who understands the complexity of the SEA markets and has an ability to build strong relationships with our internal and external stakeholders. He/she is a change enabler who is organizational savvy, builds strong networks internally and externally.
Knowledge of the principals of program design to help in thinking through and designing suitable responses to stakeholder needs in partnership with the Learning Leader and HR Business Partners.
Ability to facilitate programs in an engaging, energetic and culturally sensitive manner.
Good understanding of Performance Management.
Organisational and planning / project management skills – strong attention to detail.
Research skills, with the ability to condense and present information in a user friendly manner.
Ability to coordinate with stakeholders effectively.
Experience of partnering with third parties.
Ability to create momentum and foster organizational change
Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
Strong drive for results and a solutions oriented approach
Demonstrated strong sense of initiative and urgency, with the ability to follow up on outstanding matters efficiently

High level of proficiency and creativity with Power point, Word & Excel
Some travel may be required within SEA.
Manage working relationships with South Asia HR Team & Global Disney L&D community.
