The Walt Disney Company Communication coordinator/Press officer (M/F) in Spotswood, New Jersey

Mandated to uphold company image, the Communication & Public Affairs division builds and defends the reputation of Disneyland Paris through two missions:

  • Internally, it develops a cohesive employee culture and makes our strategic priorities accessible to all;

  • Externally, it continually informs its publics (corporate, press, influencers, etc.) and enhances awareness of company assets and strengths.

Reporting to the Disneyland Paris Communication Division, as part of the Press Relations and Digital Content Department, you will contribute to promoting the reputation of the Disneyland Paris destination.

Responsibilities : Your day-to-day responsibilities

  • Performing press office duties such as file creation, PR writing, media call backs, regular reporting

  • Assisting in defining and implementing event and project strategies

  • Assisting in A-Z event organisation (brainstorming, creative briefs, communication tools, image, hospitality, operations, logistics, etc.)

  • Ensuring follow up of organised events: defining performance indicators, reporting, making permanent event optimisation proposals

  • Building and maintaining close relations with influential journalists and networks

  • Building and maintaining close relations with the European Communication offices, participating in European press relations

  • Helping develop the communication strategy in collaboration with management and marketing teams

  • Helping develop communication for events organised by Business Solutions

  • Identifying and activating influencers to relay messages

  • Disseminating the annual communication plan through our different pan-European communication channels

  • Ensuring community management: content production, monitoring social networks

  • Producing content

Basic Qualifications :

Do you have the right profile?

  • You have a master’s degree in Marketing, Communication, or Press Relations; experience abroad would be a plus

  • You have in-depth knowledge of media and communication strategies

  • You are experienced in content production (press releases, catchphrases, media pitches, social media posts, etc.)

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in the communication field

  • You speak fluent French and English, and a third language would be a plus

  • You are creative and adaptable, a self-starter able to provide informed input and solutions

  • You have solid writing skills

  • You are curious and stay informed by following mainstream, digital media and event news and trends on a daily basis

  • You are open-minded (able to work on a European scale) and have a positive attitude
