The Walt Disney Company Compliance Lawyer - TWDC in Argentina
Compliance Lawyer will support the Chief Compliance Officer in administering the Company’s compliance program, provide training, provide legal advice and counsel regarding anti-corruption and trade control laws in LATAM, assist in performing anti-corruption and trade compliance risk assessments, and help oversee anti-corruption and trade (sanctions/export controls) compliance diligence and monitoring regimes.
Providing advice and counsel regarding anti-corruption laws, trade compliance, and the Company’s Standards of Business Conduct and other compliance policies.
Performing anti-corruption and trade compliance risk assessments.
Performing due diligence and approvals regarding third parties.
Providing compliance advice regarding gifts, hospitality, and business courtesies.
Designing and implementing compliance risk mitigation strategies.
Monitoring legal and regulatory developments, assessing the potential impact for global stakeholders, supporting and advising on implementation strategies to comply with legal and regulatory changes.
Overseeing investigations and remediation as needed.
Providing training to Company employees regarding the Standards of Business Conduct, anti-corruption, trade, and anti-harassment.
Managing various technical systems to conduct due diligence.
Providing advice regarding enhancements to the Company’s compliance efforts.
Traveling in the region as needed.
Undertaking special projects and other compliance related initiatives as needed.
Effectively managing compliance professionals.
Basic Qualifications :
7 years of experience in a law firm, government agency, or in-house.
Significant experience with anti-corruption, sanctions, and export control laws and regulations.
Knowledge of, and experience in data privacy laws and regulations
Significant presentation, communications, and training experience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Public Policy; Human Resources; Government Relations; and, Management Audit to coordinate compliance program and initiatives.
Required Education :
- Law degree from an accredited law school.
