The Walt Disney Company Dubbing Manager - 12 month in Warsaw, Poland

Our DCVI team based in Poland is hiring!

The creative manager is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the localization process of Disney content, from the earliest voice testing and script analysis stages to the final mix of the dubbed foreign language versions.

Responsibilities :

  • Creative approvals including voice casting and dialogue/lyrics adaptation

  • Creative and technical supervision including recording and mixing in CEE territories and UK

  • Select Creative team (freelance Director and writers/adaptors)

  • Briefing the creative team on overall direction – casting and adaptation

  • Ensuring creative consistency

  • Ensuring that all localisation meets brand expectations – including studio adhering to Disney language compliance requirements

  • Supervise translation/adaptation approvals to ensure creative consistency for subtitling and access services as required

  • Participate and provide input to localisation solutions e.g. narrative inserts

  • Creative approvals for character names and terms (CAT)

  • Liaising with LOBs to develop local talent strategies and other creative initiatives – including Star talent

Furthermore the manager will be accountable for

  • Meeting DCVI Burbank’s and Filmmakers creative standards and expectations

  • Accountable for the creative quality and consistency within the SLA framework

  • Maintaining good relationships with the wider talent community

  • Identifying and developing new talent and on-boarding to support Disney productions

  • Supporting local and regional LOB initiatives

  • Ensuring that creative strategies and timelines align with operational requirements

  • Guardians of the Legacy – consistency, quality, value, reliability and longevity

  • Keeping pre-theatrical content secure according to Content Security Guidelines

Required Education :

  • 10 year dubbing experience in one of the following professions: dubbing director, translator /adaptor, musical director or sound engineer

  • Music proficiency – 8 years of formal music education at least

  • Technical background – Understanding the digital recording and mixing environment

  • University degree – language and cultural emphasis preferred

  • Fluent English, native speaker in one of CEE langauges

Preferred Education :

  • Familiarity with Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm Characters and history

  • Ability to multi task

  • Ability to work with other departments to achieve common goals

  • Ability to play an instrument

  • Excellent knowledge of native language grammar rules

  • Familiarity with ProTools
